Weddings

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and what better way to celebrate than with elegant harp music?

Meghan has been playing in weddings since 1999 and will be happy to assist you with choosing your ceremony music, just tell her what kind of songs you like and she will be able to offer suggestions to fit your taste. If you have something specific in mind, Meghan has made special musical arrangements of favorite pieces for harp and for harp with other instruments for many weddings and will be glad to do the same for you. Standard Package

• 15-30 minutes of prelude music before the ceremony, The prelude typically includes light classical, reflective, and joyful pieces. I have a set that I play, but you are welcome to make requests.

• All processionals (seating of family, wedding party, bridal march)
  You can choose up to three different pieces depending on the size of your wedding party. Most people want to have separate music for the bridal march.

• Any ceremony music
  Many couples have a unity candle, sand ceremony, or even a moment or prayer or reflection as a couple. This is entirely optional, but is often one of the most meaningful parts of the wedding.

• Recessional
  Hooray! This piece is for the bride and groom leaving the ceremony for the first time as a married couple.

• Postlude (5-10 minutes)
  Typically a celebratory piece played as guests leave the ceremony.

• Includes consultation about music choice

• Travel and cartage fees

Optional Extras

The following are available for an extra fee:

• Musical arrangements of specific pieces outside of standard repertoire - $30
  Most pieces people want for their wedding are within standard repertoire, however, sometimes couples have a unique song they want for their special day. The fee covers the cost or purchasing source material and the added time taken to make the arrangement. If it is a piece I have already arranged, there is no charge.

• Cocktail hour or reception music - $100 for each hour of music, provided there is not change in venue. If the harp has to be transported by car, an additional $50 fee will be charged.

Outdoor Weddings

Due to the nature and risk involved with outdoor weddings, an extra $100 will be charged.

Please note: An alternate indoor performance must be provided for outdoor engagements in case of rain or adverse weather.  Harpist does not perform in direct sun or in temperatures below 65 degrees or above 95 degrees Fahrenheit.  Harpist is to be paid in full “rain or shine or inclement weather.”
